Mum told me to make sure I washed my hands lots at work these days, and to not touch anything, like the hand rails, on the Tube or buses. Which would seem to avoid picking up the millions of germs that nasty buggers who don't wash their hands leave, but may not work long term if by not holding on I end up being shoved into the laps/faces/armpits of said nasty buggers.
